OMES September and the little city that is Cathedral swings wide her gates to welcome back her upperclassmen, and to greet the newcomers. These little ladies, generally titled freshmen, are distinguished by pecul- iar characteristics-a greenish look, an overwhelming curiosity, and a blank and brainless stare. The frosh are truly in a rather doubtful daze about this whole complicated high-school life. As they grow into sophomores, all thff is replaced by a vastly superior feeling and an overabundant school spirit. Sophs know C. H. S. inside out, and are just bursting to be on top in everything. Ripening into juniors, the enthusiasm suddenly dies down and a sophis- tication more becoming to veterans of proms, teas, and informal dances is assumed. As senior year looms high, a happy mixture of all three is reached, and new dignity is shouldered, along with graver responsibilities and third floor privileges. Yes, this is Cathedral! Basically, all six hundred are as alike as the uni- form they wear, but from there onthe resemblance stops. It takes all varieties to make a well-balanced school, and this happy blending is just what makes .J .t iii f V.. '21 S 4 ,Q .i ,ff-41:23-rib 2 ' f S25 1, c.
