Sodality Lives Motto To Jesus Through Mary The Sodality of Our Lady is an organization which aims to lead its members to personal sanctifi- cation through devotion to Mary. Sodalists are very active in the performance of spiritual and cor- poral works of mercy. The Sodal- ity-sponsored Know Your Saints program on Halloween awakens student interest in the lives of the saints. Sodalists also volunteer to work at Guadalupe Clinic once a week and to teach catechism in their respective parishes. Two im- portant sodality projects are: tak- ing part in the annual congress at U.S.D. and helping in the organi- zation of retreats for public school students throughout the diocese. Cathedral was particularly hon- ored this year by having Maria Theodore chosen as prefect of the Diocesan Sodality Council. League of Mary Leads Noon Rosary League President Kathy Vifeidinger The object of the League of Mary is to lead its members to self-santification through reception of the Sacraments and prayer, and through active co- operation in the Work of Catholic action. The motto of the League is Behold the handmaid of the Lord. Some of the activities the organization has sponsored this year are: the interclass Christ- mas Crib Contest, the party for Indian Children, the October Rosary devotion, and a clothing and food drive for the orphanage in Tijuana. Peggy Deyling, Helen Scutt Csecretaryj, Pamela Carns, Ann Donovan Cvice-presidentj, and Kathy Weidinger Cpresidentj take their turn leading the Rosary at the Fatima shrine during October.
