Gt Dedication Mr. Francis X. McDennott was raised and educated in St. Benedict joseph Labre Parish in Richmond Hill where he now re- sides. I-le entered Cathedral as a student in 1922 and graduated in 1927. He then en- tered St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore for one year. In 1930, after completing his studies, Mr. McDermott graduated from St. john's University, receiving his B.A. degree. I-Ie came to Cathedral as librarian in October 1939. Mr. McDermott completed his post-graduate studies in Library Science at Columbia University, and received his B.S. degree in 1-942. Since his arrival, our library has in- creased to well over thirteen thousand vol- umes covering every area of the arts and sciences, with emphasis given to the special- ized needs of the students. This growth is due to the watchful care and prudent super- vision of Mr. McDermott who is always there as a generous, knowledgeable guide when we need his assistance most. We extend our sincere thanks to you, Mr. McDermott, our devoted librarian and offer our sincere congratulations for twenty- five years of splendid service to Cathedral College. ill15'11Z111111111111111l1E11111?1i1'll1111i'1l1,11E1 11311111311113lj1i1'iil11W11ii1J1il11l'111l1?11i11tl?'1 1:3111 W1 11 1 11 1 1 .1 , 1 5111111111111 11W11'l1f1111l111ZW11i'1i1 i1111l1' 11l111111111l1l11'ilf1'1l1'l111'1l1i1 11i11i1 11i'1li1fQl1: i1ff111i 1 1 1 1 ,, , -, . l N1 vim' ,11 .av ' 111 1111111 -11,11111'11 1-111 11 111 11 1 11 iiiv 1 1 '11 1 11 1 1 11111 1 1111 1W'1l 1 1 11 1 1' 1 1 'i - 1 1' ,11 1 111-11111 1 ,1111,1'l11,,111 11111111 11 1-111-111-,111111111 11 1-1 1111 r1,11,11111111 1111 1'X111111ff,111i711Z1i1:111111 i111,1,1 '1 11111111f?1l1 ? 11 4
