The representation of Mary engraved on our cover has been placed there as a token of our love for her as the Mother of Priests, and her love for us as her faithful sons. Again and again, the theme of to jesus through Mary echoes within these pages. This 1964 edition is not meant to be the work of one staff, or of one class. It has been written, compiled and illustrated by the unselfish generosity and loyalty of every member of the student body and faculty, past and present. It has been observed that in a special manner the Annual is the one truly representative publication of Cathedral. It is the only production in which every single member of Cathe- dral's growing body has an opportunity to participate. Its name was taken from a 1921 Annual poem by C. Macl.. The following year, the com- bined newspaper and magazine expanded to sixteen pages and sold monthly for ten Cents. Gargoyle Q O I I ,5'.
