DIRECTED STUDIES LAB The CVTI Learning Lab offers a variety of courses through the use of programmed materials. By nature of lab equipment and staff, students are enabled to work at their own pace and as personal daily schedules permit. Students may improve their literacy aptitude, correct weak subjects, or get a head start in their own CVTI pro- gram. 24 FEATURES

THE CVTI BOOKSTORE The bookstore at CVTI has come a long way. It started out very small at a different location where you had to ask a clerk at a window to get what you needed. It is now in what used to be the student center. Before the present attendant, Cathy Leitch was Katherine Yount who had served three years. Mr. Thomas Jame- son, Business Manager of CVTI, is in charge of the bookstore. In the bookstore, you will find all the required books for both day and night-time students. There are extras that are of interest to students such as paperback books, sweaters, posters, albums, tapes, and equipment students may need to buy. Purchasing a decorative poster from the attendant (top) is only one of the minor happenings in the bookstore. Kathy Jensen deft) discovers new techniques in shorthand and Norma Seagle (below) locates a source for her technical research paper. 26 FEATURES
