Class Will We, the Seniors of '51, have felt for some time that our demise was near; we have felt that school was beginning to disagree with us and that the members of the faculty have conspired to accomplish the death of the most brilliant class the walls of Catawba High and the teachers thereof have ever frowned upon. The bitter doses of lessons we have taken with daily regular ity have hastened, rather than prolonged, our class demise; and we know with sorrowful certainty that the hour of our departure is near at hand. Therefore, being so soon to pass from these scenes of educational activity, we do make and declare this to be our last will and testament of the class of ’51. ARTICLES: I. We collectively bequeath to the Juniors, our rightful and worthy successors, our tendency to make a little knowledge go a long way in the classroom; also our ability to throw faculty members off the trail when we were bluffing. II. To Mr. Tolliver we leave the unfailing good humor of the entire class. We are certain he will need this in dealing with the Seniors who succeed us. III. To Mrs. Musgrove and Mr. Kiser we leave our sincere thanks. Your guidance was needed and appreciated. IV. In order that our talents may not be forgotten, we will as follows: Item 1. I, Phyllis Kale, do hereby will and bequeath to Bobby Sigmon my outstanding ability to ring the bell on time as I have done. Item 2. I, Virginia Huffman, do hereby will and bequeath to Minnie Lou Campbell and Jo Ann Kale my excellent ability to take up the lunch money. r Item 3» I, Royd Bowman, do hereby will and bequeath to Larry Frazier my ability to do business with BIG SHOTS.” Item 4. I, Wayne Moore, do hereby will and bequeath to David Abemathey my skill in playing basket- ball. Item 5 I, Betty Boggs, do hereby will and bequeath to Sarah Capps my characterizing privilege of telling jokes in study hall. Item 6. We, Martha Myers and Wayne Moore, do hereby will and bequeath to Betty Jane Capps and Johnr.y Moore our cast obtained in playing basketball. Item 7. 1, Raynell Mathews, do hereby will and bequeath to Georgie Sigmon my desire to laugh in class. Item 8 I, Bill Setzer, do hereby will and bequeath to Jim Hunsucker my adorable figure in order that he won’t have to eat so much. Item 9 I, Jimmy Morrow, do hereby will and bequeath to Jim Sigmon my ability to speak only when spoken to. Item 10.
