Catawba College Presents Throughout the year, a number of interesting guests spoke to students and community. Beginning in Septem- ber, Dr. Joyce Brothers addressed women on their changing role in the ' 80 ' s. On October 21, Founders Day, Governor James G. Martin was in- troduced by Dr. Knott, and asked North Carolina to consider the problem of illiteracy. Sponsored by the Ralph W. Ketner School of Busi- ness, Ronald B. Gelbman of Johnson and Johnson spoke in a Catawba Col- lege Executive Sympo- sium Series. Hugh L. McColl, Jr. of NCNB Cor- poration also attended a symposium directed to- ward business students. 20
