The tribe was led by freshman Rob Sottile who compiled a season record of 23-5, freshman George Fiorile with a record of 19-6, and captain Joe Trainor whose record was 1 6-3 for the year. All three qualified for the NAIA National Tournament. All members of the team worked very hard and contributed greatly to the success of the team. IMPRESSIONS Barefoot, you walk along the empty beach, leaving impressions in the moist sand, your foot playing follow the leader with the left. I, too, travel that sandy trail, guided by your footprints in the sand. An impossible quest: pursuing five independent toes and a dawdling heel, but I never reach you, for although we journey down the same path, you are going in the opposite direction. Jennifer E. Smith SNIPE FLIES by Brent Snipes WAR The boy stood at the fog shouded bus depot. His mother stood despondent by his side, Not speaking, Not feeling. Slowly the bus panted the fog and came to a stop. The boy looked at his mother through watered eyes. And said, Mama I ' m scared. She waited in earnest for a word from her boy. Finally by a telegram it came. It read: Mama I love you, and I ' m scared. They told her he was courageous. They told her he was always loyal, And never seemed scared. Then they told her he was dead. That was the last she heard of her boy. The last time she cared for anything. Now she just sits and stares, At the bus depot down the street. Timothy Ross WNDN-FM Mike Smith. Jack Walls.
