These subjects are basic and important but at best are only the founda- tions on which we must build such qualities as tolerance, justice, moral courage, and understanding. Far above man ' s recent pro- gress in the physical and mechanical sciences, is wisdom and skill in the field of human relationships. This is one of the most chal- lenging problems of our time, which we, the students of Catawba College, will strive to solve. 1381
