Mrs. Marx also joined us for the last marking period to fill the vacancy left by Mrs. Marie Andrews who left for a position elsewhere. She very capably assumed the responsibilities of teaching shorthand, office practice, and typing. At the end of April, Miss Bastian was assigned to fill the unexpired term of class adviser left by the resignation of Mrs. Lucille Lambert. The preparation for Senior Day, Baccalaureate, and Commencement rested upon her shoulders. NEW SENIOR Elaine Babonas joined us late in the year, but has proved herself a valuable asset to our class. Her winning personality has made her a friend to all. As she was only with us for the final marking period, she was unable to participate fully in our extra-curricular activity program, but she has showed her abilities in Future Homemakers of America and in Chorus. Her excellent voice has given her solo parts in our Spring Concert, Senior Day, and Commencement. NEW TEACHER Mrs. DOROTHY MARX NEW TEACHER Mrs. Spears filled the position vacated by Mrs. Robertson.
