Frosh Tie Season After Earl ' l l Losing Streak With determination and team spirit the freshman football squad, according to coach Ken Fones, turned a clumsy start into a tying season. After being defeated by Tucson High, Rincon, and Pueblo, the frosh gridders trounced Douglas, 27-U. The highlight of the freshman sea- son Was the Salpointe game-the last on the frosh calendar. Despite a leg injury to the first starting fullback, Wayne Chapman, Troy defeated the Lancers, 13-7. This victory ended the season, 4-4. Coach Fones said, Although the team looked Weak in the beginning of practice, they improved greatly, and I Was very proud of their performance.
