W5 l , ' M, ,.., J 'i Calculating the needed size of paper, Juniors start work on prom decorations. Produce Elegant Proms Two and one-half months of tedious planning, anxious hopes and dreams, and one solid day of decorating were a few of the ingredients that went into making the Fifth Annual Senior Prom a long-to-be-remembered event. The theme Opulentia fSplendorJ was carried out in a white and green decor. The ceiling and walls of the cafeteria were covered with woven white crepe paper accented with ivy. The Roman atmosphere was created by alabaster columns and murals of ancient ruins. An enormous fountain of ivy overflowing with mist proved to be the center-of-attraction. Wayne Webb's band supplied the music which set the mood for a heavenly evening of dancing. General Chairmen for the Senior Prom were Stephanie Cooke and John Moffatt assisted by Jill Dykeman, Susan Lando-n, and Gray Mclnroy, Decorations, Gail Price, Publicity, Dick Badger and Bruce Grossetta, Tickets, Bill Brake and Bill Neubauer, Music, Diane Tully, Invitations, Pam Phillips, Thank-you's, and Beth Hopkins and Ann Raynolds, Refreshments. Early in March, work was begun on the Junior Prom. Ideas for the the-me were brought up and reviewed by the Junior Adviso-ry Board. April 22 was selected as the night for the prom and plans were made to use the patio for dancing outside. Everyone agreed that both proms were highly success- ful and will be long remembered.
