We -wr The welfare of the students is the basic concern of Catalinals seven counselors. Working with the teachers, parents, prin- cipal, and the administration, they help the counselees reach the potential needed to become good citizens. Each counselor has approximately 340 counselees. A permanent aca- demic record of each student is kept. Mrs. Betty Warner is the assistant regis- trarg Mrs. Helen Hack, Mrs. Winnifred Sims, and Mrs. Gene Merchant also work in this office. An accurate and careful attendance record of Catalinals students is kept by Miss Helen Clark and her assistants, Mrs. Helen Markes, and Mrs. Meta Moore. This job is particularly important because the school district receives money from the State Department of Education based on student attendance.
