This win over Arroyo assured the Spartans of no worse than a tie for the League Championship with only one game left on the schedule. Eden's home field for the season's seventh and most important game. C. V. scored first, but trailed by a touchdown at the half. The game see-sawed back and forth all through the second half, but Russ SWart's 76-yard return of an interception on the controversial last play of the game saved the victory and the title of C.V.
