Once a week on Wednes- day nights, the campers learned trailblazing, camp cookery, improvising a stove, the use of camp tools, and other useful things that would acquaint them with the out-of-doors. The group had occasional cook-outs and in late April they had a camp-out overnite to cele- brate their accomplishments at the end of the block. It was played in the gymnasium after school for six weeks. Miss Squires gave the girls instruction. The girls alternately played singles and doubles.
