Q MAJ MAO R A L L Y B A N D The rally band plays at the basket- ball games and it also plays at the foot- ball games when the marching band is not there. MSAMQE iiwym, The rally band is made up of drums, trumpets, trombones, clarinets, baritones, flutes and cymbals. The rally band members are made up of the top members of each section of the instruments used. MEGAPHONE Once a week after school on Wednes- day, the Spartans' Megaphone Club met to help students wishing to learn the school songs and yells. Led by head song girls and yell leaders, the club also trained those students who later desired to be- come cheer leaders or song girls. The officers of the club were: President, Arleen King, Vice President, Pat Perry, Secretary, Lorrie Laughter, Recorder, Ar- lene Kaastrup, and Treasurer, Jerri Long. The Rally Committee is made up of a group of boys who have at least a C average and a good standing in their school record, They are the boys seen wearing the green and white hats and arm bands. The club's initial duty is to control the students at athletic games. They also usher at assemblies. This year, the Rally Committee sold apples and peanuts at the football games.
