The nobility and pride with which the building sits atop the hill in our community is reflected in the caliber of faculty and the strength and desires of our students. The much needed and appreciated renovations which are taking place in the physical structure of our school are outward signs to everyone that the facility is being improved. The changes that occur within you, the students, are as obvious, to those of us who look closely, as the changes being made in the building. The good things everyone sees about the building are highly heralded as outstanding achievements and improve- ments. All too often, however, the positive changes that occur within our students are overlooked. The mental development and maturity of our students undergo a far greater change, while at Castlewood High School, than anything that has ever been done to change the appearance of the building. Although | do have a great deal of pride in the physical ap- pearance of our building, it in no way compares with the heartswelling pride | feel in seeing the students of Castlewood High School mature and progress into responsible young adults and contributing members of society. As this year came to an end and the yearbook finally came into order, J had a moment to think as I placed the very last pictures into the last page PE a Poe pre AD Se bse A erode heratserall linen the trond oceried end (catand tive all folt as though we were caught in a snowstorm of master layouts, dummy layouts, copy sheets and pege envelopes. Wut, as the pealizalion of altel! was happening came to me, JI began to fecl a little let I thought of how add we all once’. together lo accomplish one goal, meeting the deadlines! 9 thought of all the inspiration and perspiration the class has put into this yearbook. But most of all I thought of how much we have all grown and learned together this year and what good friends we have all become. Bringing this yearbook into reality has meant a great deal of hard work for all of us, but the rewards and satisfaction for the hard work greatly outweigh the trials. As the editor, Y would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone on the staff and especially Wh. Vorris for all their efforts in accomplishing the one shared goal, that is, publishing a yearbook that the yearbook staff, the student body, the faculty and the administration can be proud of. We, the yearbook staff, are very proud of this edition of the Castletonian and we hope that you can obtain as much satisfaction from reading it as we did from putting it together. oe ” Teeny
