r c I % % 0Mt dlU es Area yi! DEDICATION MR. ALLEN WELLS A former graduate of J. J. Kelly High School and E. T. S. U., Mr. Wells has taught here at CHS for six years. Since his arrival in 1968, Mr. Wells has become a leader among the faculty and the students. His sense of humor is appreciated by everyone, and has won the admiration of all the students at CHS. Mr. Wells has taught us that learning can be an enjoyable as well as an educational experience. In his good-natured atmosphere, we have found ourselves wanting to learn rather than having to learn. 6 A VERSATILE MAN Mr. Milton and Mr. Wells supervise the cafeteria. Besides working hard at school, Mr. Wells is also part- owner of a local service station. Danny Minahan and Mr. Wells have a friendly conver- sation during lunch. Not only is Mr. Wells a teacher and breadwinner, he is also a family man. Shown here with his daughter, Pamela; his wife, Irene; his daughter, Becky; and the latest addition to the Wells family, David Allen. 7 SCHOOL BEGINS (Above) The first day of school causes hectic rush to class after long (Above) Miss Kelly and Mr. Dillon catch up on the latest summer vacations. faculty gossip. 8 SENIOR RING PARTY Seniors display new rings. At the pep rally, students take a break from cheer- ing to lend an ear to Mr. Tarwater. 11 Coach Blake Whitenack is jubilant after a Blue Devil victory. Even though Homecoming festivities were marred by rainy weather, a good crowd turned out for the game. 12 After finishing with an undefeated district worksheet, the football teams district champion- ship was commemorated with a cake. Football coaches later demolished the cake. Traffic lights after the ball game weave an interesting pattern due to the time-lapse photography of Mike Davis.
