Her abilities are also ex- hibited in the capable leadership and guidance shown as the spon- sor of the “Castletonian” and co- sponsor of the Junior-Senior Prom. For all these things and many more, we proudly and gratefully dedicate the 1973 “Castletonian” to our friend and teacher, Slrirley Ann Dishman. Love And Appreciation One Short Sleep Past, LIFE TO A FRIEND Life is just a simple thing, That we can’t understand, This is why we all need help, Erom the greatest helping hand. Life is a gift, that is given to us. Of which we all can share. It’s not an award that we have won. It’s given to us, from God, with care. Hardly do we ever think. Of things we cannot see, Such as love, we have for friends, Friends, like you and me. But now a friend we all have lost, And another friend he’s found. Because he’s in a better place, Where God controls each sound. We’d like to say just one more thing. To you, dear God, we pray, That all of us, will be together. As friends, again, someday. Helen Phillips TIME Time was our friend It brouglit you closer To us . . . Time is our enemy It took you away From us . . . His time was short And now No more . . . Rosanne Townes IF YOU WERE BACK If you were here, we would Hold you tight And hope and pray you would Never go back . . . With the one who made all things, you Remain And we must be content that we will never see you Again . . . Still in our hearts you will always Stay And for you soul and ours we will always Pray . . . Rosanne Townes DEATH I thought I saw Death last night, Walk down a golden street. With an Angel of snow white, Standing near his feet. At first I couldn’t believe my eyes, Again I looked, and I really do! I see the wonderful side of Death, The marbled stairs, the silver pew. And then I saw an Angel’s smile. And heard her soft voice say, “Put faith in Me, for I am Death,” And then she went away. I looked around, and there were friends. They all were smiling at me. And I just couldn’t help but say, “Do you see what I see?” Then I awoke, to my surprise. Nothing moved, it seemed. That what I thought was real Had only been a dream.
