Tragedy Adds A Grave Note This is how Temple Hill High Scho ol looked be- fore it burned in 1948. The old high school building, the original Temple Hill School, faces the main entrance. One would not recognize it from the orig- inal picture on page nine. This main building (Old Temple Hill) is flanked on the southeast side by the gymnasium which took care of all indoor sports, chapel programs, and plays. To the north of the main building is an attrac- tive gable roof-type building which took care of the agricultural, science, and manual training equip- ment. Some sixty high school students assembled there daily for classroom instruction. So one can see that from a small beginning, the record growth and development of Castlewood High School has been a continuous one. 1 1
