The Castlewood High School Band members were among the 55 bands attending the South- eastern Band Festival at Bristol. They won a plaque for second division rating. They gave a Christmas concert jointly with the choir. The band marched at Abingdon for the Tobacco Fes- tival, at St. Paul in the Christmas parade, and at Dante, Va. They entertained at the Russell County Fair in Lebanon and also played for the Castlewood student body during American Edu- cation Week.
