Members strove to promote the motto “progreso, cul- turo y educacion. Mid-December, members celebrated La Navidad with a Mexican food potluck at sec- retary Stephanie Craig’s house. There was the traditional pinata breaking and pasadas. In one major fund raising project, members sold Toberone candy, one of Spain’s most famous exports. In Feb. mem- bers loaded up and departed for Dallas to enjoy a day shopping at one of Dallas' well known malls specializing in Hispanic Merchan- dise. The day was spent visiting, sight seeing, and sharing incredible Mexican dinner. Early March, a se- lect group represented Castleberry at the annual P.A.S.F. convention in San Antonio. They were joined by other high school representatives through the entire state of Texas. In May, Cinco de Mayo, the most widely celebrated Mexican holiday, was celebrated at Castleberry with a musical assembly.
