The varsity never gove up, ond they fought hard throughout eoch gome. The Lions' moin win wos ogoinst Diamond Hill in rhe fourth gome of the seoson. The Lions scored in the third quorter when Tim Reeves threw o 63 yard holfbock option poss to John Morlin. After o missed conversion kick, the Lions trolled 7-6. Then, with only 1:36 left to ploy, Gory Lopez blocked the Eagles' punt ond Scott McPherson picked it up ot the ten yord line ond went in for the winning touchdown. The Lions come out on top with o heortstopping 12-7 victory. Gronbury forfeited to the Lions due to on ineligible ployer. There were mony outstanding individual efforts for the varsity this year. These were recognized or the district level with Tim Reeves achieving First Team All District ot run- ning back ond Gory Lopez also First Team All District for defensive safety.
