Cadieheru PROUD LION AWARD SCOTT MCPHERSON A senior who hos performed outstonding services for the school is honored monthly by the studenr council. President Monuel Perez presides over the weekly meetings. The student council members ore Involved in o discussion over school policy. STUDENT COUNCIL Guides Student Body Through Busy Year The studenr council served the student body with organized leodership ond guidance. Meetings were held each Mondoy. The senators brought ideas to the meetings through which old ond new projects were activated. The studenr council started the yeor off with the trodirionol Howdy Skating Party. Other skating parties followed such os the Halloween ond the Soinr Patrick’s Doy events. At homecoming, the student council spon- sored competition between the classes by selling links in o chain. The seniors won this event. At Halloween, the council sponsored o new ideo — Holloweeds. To show appreciation, the teachers were given o luncheon at Thanksgiving. During Christmas, the student council was busy with candy cones ond ond the can food drive. Finally, spring come and the dean-up week was kicked off. At lost the year's elections were held.
