Cooch John Loven characterized this seoson os one of improvement ond rebuilding for the team. The mile relay was composed of Nick Moynor. Richard Webber. Gory Davis. John Correr. Garry Hinkel. ond Kenny Joines. The weightmen were led by seniors Tim Reeves ond Gene Browder and junior Jim Bowmon. The top performers in the hurdles were juniors Gorry Hinkel ond Kenny Joines. The distance runners were led by Vince Sterling. Hung Ly. Terry Wotson. ond David Stevenson. A new addition to the track teom wos the pole-vaulting event which consisted of vaulters Buddy Johnson ond Steve S. Smith. A voluoble osset to the team was runner Nick Moynor who wos a consistent performer. Overall the team displayed exceptional improvement, especially in field events.
