Cross Countr This year's Cross Country Team started out with only four members whoing up for the first practice. They came a long way though, because they finished fourth in the league and sixth in the CIF standings. Their win-loss record stands at 5-3. The sophomore team captured a first at the Mount Sac lnvitational, and as Coach Spies put it, was perhaps a highlight of the season.y'Team members are: Sophomores-Dave Valdivia, Captaing Mike Diaz, Mario Diaz, Bob Currell, Juniors-Larry Silvas, Steve Shaw, Seniors-Phil Mast, and Jose Ponce.Top honors awarded at Southwestern College Metro Finals went to Dave Valdivia, Sth in Varsityg Phil Mast, 9th in Varsityg Steve Shaw, lst in J.V. .
