They must be over 16 to solo, over 17 to gain private licenses. Senior members of the CAP are in their 18th year or older and have considerable flying experience, while the junior members may confine their activities to ground school. Fully licensed instructors are provided for all courses and credit is allowed for these in Army and Navy cadet curricula.
