He has served as house surgeon in several ofthe largest hospitals ol the United States and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, the most select group of surgeons in the country. For the cadet's protection we maintain a modern and thoroughly equipped intirmary and a resident nurse is on constant duty. Martha Gas- School Hospital ton Hospital in Lebanon is available in the rare in- stances of serious illness. Medical and nurses' attention in the school hospital Qly is included in the tuition. We believe that adequate medical attention and con- stant physical supervision under trained physicians is one of the surest safeguards Health Safeguards of health and happiness. The cadet at Castle Heights Military Academy is assured of intelligent and thorough physical attention. If the boy is unable to attend to his school duties he reports to the intirmary at 8 A.M. and remains there under care of doctor and nurse until he is discharged as ready for duty again. -cc-qtffrms-H'f,1c5LHfr.f-1yt1L1fral1 rsY-aL1caf1DEmY- There are possibly no severer critics oi insincerity than boys oi high school age, but there is, however, no more sincere, church-loving and clean- Religious Life living group in the country today than these same boys vvhen given an opportunity to appreciate their own need for a spiritual lite of the mind and body. Such an opportun- ity is oilered at Castle Heights. Our school day begins vvith chapel exercises, Scrip- ture reading, prayer, and a short tallc by each teacher in turn on some phase ol right living in school. On Sunday every boy is in the church ol his choice and participates in the services of that denomination in the town ol Lebanon. The pastors are sincere ministers oi the gospel and talae a real interest in the cadets. The congregations, lilcewise, welcome the cadets each fall and malce them feel genuinely welcome and estab- lish a friendly personal basis for enjoyment ol the church services. The Heights 'V' Club holds a unique position in the liie of the boys in Castle Heights, This club of approxi- mately tvventy-live boys meets Heights 'Y' each Sunday night to discuss their problems, share their ideas, foster school spirit and loyalty and malce plans lor the better- ment oi the school in general. These constructive and inspiring programs hold the interest of its members and they receive a deep satisfaction in promoting such pro- jects as improving the athletic grounds, conducting daily Chapel services, sponsoring young men's con- ventions, inviting prominent spealcers for the club and school and talcing an active and vital part in all school activities. Much of the social life ol the Academy is built around the Heights 'Y' Club. Skating parties in the gymnasium, possum hunts, outings in the open, dramatics and contests help to round out a full and abundant social lile lor the cadets oi Castle Heights. 444
