Y. C. S. every Monday 'md Thursday this year. Bond 'ind stamp sales have totaled around 56000. The class originated the idea of the E Banner, which was given out in assembly each week to the home room havinlf bought the greatest number of bonds and stamps for the week. Wednesdav, April f the class sponsored a relay race between Iunior and Senior girls and a volley ball game between two mixed faculty teams. An admission of live cents was charged and the progeeds went to buy a Minute-Man Banner for the school. The main purpose this year, hovyever, is to establish '1 wood basis for a better Victory Corps orvanization next year, and tl1e members feel that, in this respect, they are succeeding. The C. V. C. S. Victory' C orps was orvanized early is Februarv, 1945, vyith a charter membership of seventy' students from all Grades. The mem ,ership has since been ex- panded until it now exceeds one l1undred. Tl1e Victory' Corps structure consists of general membership plus various educational activities. The Ueneral membership is to be divided into five divisions: The Air Service Division, the Land Service Division, the Sea Service Division, the Production Division, and tl1e Community' Service Division. For s ventl1, eivhth, and ninth grade activities, vve have classes in airplane identification, Iunior Red Cross, correspondence and l1onor roll for corresponding with men in armed servicesj. For tentl1, eleventh and twelfth Urade activities we have classes in applied mathematics, airplane identification, first aid, farm mechanics, photography' and model airplane buildinv.
