We have tried to capture the many fond memories of our academic life, our athletic prowess, our social life, our leisure, and above all, the warm friendships which we spawned and nurtured while at Cass High. With smiles and tears, success and failure, we have trod the long, hard way toward our goal, gra- duation. These for us now, can never be regained. To insure ourselves of these fond memories of the past, for the future, we have made an humble attempt to capture them in the pages which follow, 3 DEDICATION We, the class of 1957, wish to dedicate this issue of the Cassonian to all the High Schools throughout America, and to the cause of furthering thedemocratic way of life which we have learned so well during our High School years. As we have experienced countless opportunities during our school years to improve ourselves physically, mentally and socially, we hereby dedicate ourselves to do all we canto promote and provide these same opportunities for others. 4 Y TABLE OF CONTENTS -T' IN APPRECIATION For their advice, leadership and un- tiring efforts in our behalf. When moonlight soft comes after twilight time. The shadow that across the school yard lies, May be our class marching in graduation line, Friendly boys and girls with bright, remembering eyes. Dear Cass High School, remember us who departg Some kindly thought, a prayer or sigh on us bestowg And may our good deeds stay in your heart, When other classes come and go. We, the class of '57, with proud affection, real and true, On stormy seas, in far away lands, beneath a distant star, Shall send our thoughts across the world to you, When it's June again, where 'er we are.
