Foreword The theme of this 1952-53 Yearbook is lrnp . If I should take the dictio- nary definition of this word, I might choose any one or all of the following: Imp - a little mischievous demon - a mischievous child - a young devil Iobserve that at least two things are common to the definitions. The first is the qualification young . The second is emphasis on mischief . The choice of the theme Imp , no doubt took into account these qualifi- cations - youth and mischief. The Yearbook deals primarily with high school youth. The Yearbook puts emphasis upon the lighter side of school life - act- ivities, parties, nonsense, etc. , all of which are important to school life and contribute toa well rounded program of education. The Yearbook is a history of this side of school life as well as a memory book. Many Cass pupils look forward to the series of three published during their stay here. All of us are happy for the tradition - Yearbook. And the theme has its humor. If young people were to sprout wings, I am sure we should be at a loss to know how to deal with them. But the little devil in the eye of a youth, makes him human. 2
