To the editors, staff members and sponsor, our hearty congratulations. But of more importance perhaps, is the fact that the eight hundred graduating seniors have written the closing paragraphs of their high school careers. This Yearbook is the symbol of successful accomplishment for all of these young men and youngwomen. It announces to the world that eight hundred young people are prepared to enter their chosen fields, give service to the community and live lives of fruitful citizenship. Who can tell the number of lives influenced during forty-two years? And who can measure the impact of these many thousands upon the city of Detroit? Dedication Throughout the years that Cass Technical High School has been in existence, it has achieved an international reputation for superiority in training students to successfully meet the demands of a civilization which daily grows more complex. One of these present day demands is in the service of our country. Many of Cass graduates have enlisted or been drafted into the UnitedStates Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, or some other branch of the service and at the present time are fighting for their lives and ours on one of the many battlefronts in the Far East. It is to these Cass Graduates who are in the service of our country, fighting in the Korean War, that we humbly dedicate this book. 5
