Principals Past To Mr. William E. Stirton, our former principal, we the seniors of 1951-52 dedicate this page as a small part of our appreciation of his work at Cass. Mr. Stirton was truly a wonderful person, for not only was he big enough to make a good name for Cass, but he was human enough to be a personal friend to everyone, student and teacher alike. Words can hardly tell the measure of good he did for the school, nor how much his departure meant to us. ln Mr. Stirton 's own words, If you scout around in the vacant lot across the street from Cass, you will find a strange damp spot of ground. When analyzed, this spot of earth would show traces of hemoglobin, red and white corpuscles and sodium chloride. This, my sweat and blood, represents my efforts on your behalf to get our Cass athletic field. We feel that this is a perfect word picture of the type of man Mr. Stirton is, and we know that his name, wherever he is, will always be synonymous with progress. Present. . . To Mr. Joseph Wolber, the students of Cass wish to extend a hearty welcome. Many new ideas have been invoked since he has arrived at Cass, many of which are very good. We know that he will help to make Cass an outstanding school forever.
Dedication Throughout the years that Cass Technical High School has been in existence, it has achieved an international reputation for superiority in training students to successfully meet the demands of a civilization which daily grows more complex. This reputation has been built by a combination of three factors: good equipment, excellent instruction, and students eager to know the technology of their industrial environment. The students of yesteryear are today the men and women who are the masters of the powerful man-made forces which directly or indirectly influence the life of every human being. The fact that so many Cass graduates have gained these important positions proves that Cass attracts those with the ambition and drive so necessary to success . The achieve- ments attained by past Cass graduates are the incentive to today 's students. The graduates of 1952 leave with training equal or superior to that given by any other high school in the world. During their years at Cass, these students have also contributed to the tradhion of scholarship which is the essence of Cass Tech. It is the fervent hope of every Cass graduate to pass on this tradition so that it may continue to grow and thus to increase the opportunities afforded to all future Cass students. Therefore, to the past, present, and future students of Cass Tech- nical High School, the graduating class of 1952 humbly dedicate this yearbook . C
