Foreword Leap year is that year, which, compared to three quarters of all years, is unusual. It is different because instead of the usual 365 days to a year, leap year contains 366 days. Attached to this unique day are various customs and oddities. For example, leap year, by custom, is considered open season for boy hunting, and then there is the man, who after living 40 years, is just celebrating his 10th birthday. All in all leap year, celebrated on the last day of February is traditionally a day of merriment and joviality. Therefore, as 1952 is leap year, the theme of the 1952 Triangle has been centered around leap year and its customs. 1 . :W GN-'CW lk'H..

Principals Past To Mr. William E. Stirton, our former principal, we the seniors of 1951-52 dedicate this page as a small part of our appreciation of his work at Cass. Mr. Stirton was truly a wonderful person, for not only was he big enough to make a good name for Cass, but he was human enough to be a personal friend to everyone, student and teacher alike. Words can hardly tell the measure of good he did for the school, nor how much his departure meant to us. ln Mr. Stirton 's own words, If you scout around in the vacant lot across the street from Cass, you will find a strange damp spot of ground. When analyzed, this spot of earth would show traces of hemoglobin, red and white corpuscles and sodium chloride. This, my sweat and blood, represents my efforts on your behalf to get our Cass athletic field. We feel that this is a perfect word picture of the type of man Mr. Stirton is, and we know that his name, wherever he is, will always be synonymous with progress. Present. . . To Mr. Joseph Wolber, the students of Cass wish to extend a hearty welcome. Many new ideas have been invoked since he has arrived at Cass, many of which are very good. We know that he will help to make Cass an outstanding school forever.
