DEDICATION The senior class of 1986 wishes to dedicate their yearbook to Loretta Reynolds. Through the past six years you've given us encouragement, whether it was a pat on the back, or a swat on the bottom to keep us in line. We've grown to respect you and we'll miss you when we're gone. Thanks MA! We Love You!! 2 The Class of 1986 would like to give special recognition to Mike Schmid for his dedicated effort in educating the students of this community and many others. Mike spends half of his day working at Cass Lake High School and the other half at Chief Bug-o-nav-ge-shig School. When he has finished his day of teaching, he returns to Cass Lake High School to serve as Advisor of this yearbook. For his devotion to education, we give him special recognition .

In Memory Of He will actually swallow up death forever, And the Lord Jehovah Will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. — Isaiah 25:8 RICHARD LEE RROWN, JR. Born December 9, 1967 Passed Away February 7, 1980 Services Saturday, February 9, 1980: 2 P.M. Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Cass Lake, Minnesota Speaker Bill Johnson It was a year of events Halloween stories, surprise party math carnival, skiing Terribithia, looks of shock a disbelieving statement of grief I hope it won't be me. It was you, Richard. A born leader you were the rebellious, angry and insecure you took a close look at yourself It was the year you began to mature More giving, more caring more laughter, more sharing less anger, less pain less blaming others more taking the reins We all loved you cheered you on you picked us up we helped you grow on A gift you left to us of love and respect of bonding, of closeness we will carry these for life We loved vou, Richard. written by Bonnie Rubash (Richard's 6th grade teacher) As a result of Richard's death our class was drawn into a family. We realized how precious a gift life is and yet how quickly it can be taken away. It was a time when we realized nothing can be taken for granted. Richard, this page is in loving memory of you; although you are not here with us today, you are in our thoughts often. Thank you for the gifts you gave us--the laughter, the love, and for being our friend. 3
