Ooe would think that after many years of almost every teacher telling them I've been warned about your class, that they are really an irresponsible bunch. This is quite untrue, however. The main complaint that the tea- chers have about them is that they don't discuss voluntarily, but this is not their fault since they were discouraged from discussing in earlier years. Their main objective is to have fun and enjoy life, but most of them have also taken on many responsibilities in school which inevitably will continue after graduation. Good luck to all seniors! 10 JUNIOR-SENIOR PROM «Mkiif r J Last year the senior class (then juniors) decorated the auditorium which turned out to be the setting for the 1970 Prom. They worked very hard at fund raising, the plan- ning of it, and at the decorating itself. This Prom is especially important because only a spring dance will be held this year and not a Prom. 11 JUNIORS Allen, James Ausk, William Baird, Patti Bisson, Deborah Brown, Sherman Budreau, Elsie Carlson, David Cloud, Annette Conner, Donald Croaker, Richard Dalbec, Deborah Doughman, Garnet Dunning, Marlene Erickson, Brenda Erickson, Terry Folstrom, Yodi Frazer, Gary Gamache, Deborah Gascho, Mary Beth Gehrke, Maureen Glidden, Suellyn Goss, Beverly Hanson, Richard Hill, Peter Hough, Carla Johnson, Deborah Johnson, Mari Jones, Christine Jones, Veronica Juenke, Richard 12 Kelley, Debra Larson, Jeffery Neises, Maralee Norenberg, Mark Norenberg, Myron Nyberg, Josephine Osborn, Joseph Polries, Lawrence Premo, Donald Price, Nancy Reuter, Mary Roller, Ruth Seelye, David Seggerman, Dahris Shotley, Suzanne Stangel, Wayne Struecker, Dan Swan, Beverly Thiemecke, Kurt Trosen, Larry Weisert, Bruce Wells, Kenneth Williams, Zane Wittner, Marjorie Wittner, Ruth Zaccagnino Dan 13 SOPHOMORES Abram, Brian Anderson, Susan Baird, Richard Baker, Shawn Ball, Theresa Bohn, Diane Bohn, Donald Brunette, Barbara Budreau, Robert Carlson, Gus Chastek, Sherwin Church, Robert Cloud, Allen Denny, Jeffrey Eichberg, Bonnie Finn, Patrick Folstrom, Orlean Fossum, Martin Gehrke, Yvonne Hansen, Randy Hershberger, Kathy Hershberger, John Hinkemeyer, Curtis Hinkemeyer, Jerry Hough, Cornell A 4 Huesers, John Johnson, Judy Johnston, Maxine Johnston, Monica Kangas, Phillip Kelley, Mary Larson, Brian Larson, Stephen Larson, William Lauritsen, Terry Norenberg, Jill Norenberg, Laura Patton, Ralph Polries, Laurie Premo, Bruce Raisch, David Rasmussen, Linda Robinson, Sue Robinson, Tyler Smith, Gary Stangel, Rebecca Stangel, Russell Swan, Michael Wakanabo, Ronald Whipple, John 15 FRESHMEN Abram, Carmen Anderson, Allen Austin, Robin Berge, Norman Bisson, Brenda Bohn, Donna Bohn, Michael Braman, Jerome Carlson, Mark Chastek, Sherwood Dorman, Molly Dunning, Rita Fairbanks, Alden Fairbanks, Gordon Fisher, Robert Folstrom, Alfred Foster, Robert Foster, Thomas Frazer, LuAnn Ellis, Carol Gehrke, Larry Glidden, James Goss, Janice Graham, Joan Greenside, Peggy Hanson, Beverly Hanson, Judy Hanson, Marvin Hinkemeyer, Jack Hookom, Dale Littlewolf, Ted Mellema, James Morgan, David Murphy, Barbara Norenberg, Linda Norenberg, Sharon Nyberg, George Palmer, Timothy Parmenter, Casey Richards, Shirley Swanson, Loren Swanson, Luther Trosen, Marita Wells, Larry Wennell, Faye Jacobson, Nancy Johnson, Gary Karbowski, Robert Kingbird, Jeffrey Kline, Lawrence Robinson, Martin Robinson, Sandra Ross, Lenny Staples, Rebecca Swan, Doreen LaDuke, Cheryl Larson, Catherine Larson, Julie LaTourelle, Betty Littlewolf, James 18 EIGHTH GRADE 1st row: L-R; D. The other events surrounding home- coming were a success also. The skits and the parade were well planned and presented. So once again Cass Lake is successful. 23 BAND The band has acquired a new director, Mr. Mckercher, who has added the Tijuana band and has made a stronger German band. Our band this year seems to be a much more spirited one with quite a bit more interest involved on the part of the students. They have represented us at many sport's events and have showed other schools that Cass Lake still has enthusiasm and spirit. The chorus is again directed by Mrs. Smith, who never leaves anyone disappoint- ed when the chorus gives a performance. She has built up an especially good Jr. chorus compared to the size in years before. The Sr. chorus, although lacking any male voices, sings a variety of songs at their usual Christmas and Spring concerts. So once again, the chorus comes through with an- other splendid year. 27 AMARDS AMARDS CAST 1st row: L-R; P. Baird- Louise Thomas , D. Bohn- Mrs. Beeman , P. Coyle- Mrs. Kite , D. The staff has been faced with the growing cost of the yearbook, but have tried to make the best possible book regardless. The only reward the staff receives is the pleasure of seeing a group of satisfied students when they re- ceive their annual. There was the trad- itional German caroling and party at Christ- mastime. The C.L.H.S. German students were invited to the BSC Weihnachtsfest and will take the AATG test in Duluth this spring. Also this year the German TJTstud- ents have a little saying which they follow closely: Denke du nie du denkst, denn wenn du denkst du denkst denn denkst du nicht. Du denkst nur du denkst. 1st row: L-R; C; Ellis-Sec., P. Carlson-Pres., D. Kelley-German II Treas. 2nd row: A; Berge-German III Treas., G. Frazer-V. Pres., D. Bohn-German I Treas. 1st row: L-R; D. Ellis-Student Council L. Croaker-President S. Eichberg-Secretary J. Osborn-Treasurer J. Adkins-Vice President Our library has a new advisor, Mrs. Gibson. She has done much to improve our present library system. No fines, for example, which certainly proves to be one less headache for the absent minded. On en- tering the library a student is greeted with a smile instead of a tally sheet of the month's fines owed. So library club-be prepared- here we come. 1st row: L-R; T. Foster, C. Winner, L.
