Many of the girls were returning letter winners with a few rookies. Two seniors ran for their last year of track. The team finished with a 4-2 record. The jr. high girls had lots of talent running for them. Tara Kuhn and Cassie Logan were their prime runners. They and the other girls combined to run a 3-1 record. Baseball Moves To Spring Season The 1975 summer baseball season wasn't quite as successful as was hoped it would be. Injuries took a major toll on the Kings. The varsity won 15 of 27 games including the four-way tourney and was runner-up in the sectional. Dave Caylor won all four trophies for the first time in the 13 year history of Cass baseball. The junior varsity won five of 12 games including the four- way championship. Mark Foreman was the top hitter and Ted Kitchel was the leading pitcher. The junior high won eight and lost six. The top hitter was Brian Ayers. Scott Beckley and Greg Crite each won three games to be top pitchers. On a trial basis, baseball was played in the spring during the 1976 season. rx j. 7.
