Kingfish Swim O The Cass team had the best record in eight years with 11 wins and one loss. They sent Kim Kirkendall, Ron Gillam and Tobin Whitcomb to the state meet in Muncie. Most Valuable award winner was Kim Kirkendall while Steve Ault won the Most Improved. Throughout the Cass season, every record was broken except for the 200 Medley Relay. The Ir. Queenfish Stroke O Lewis Cass Queenfish finished their season with a 4-7 record. All the previous swim records were broken by the girls. They put in many long, hard hours of preparing for each meet. Sectional Diving Champion was Kyle Whitcomb. She also went on to place 14th in state competition. MVP went to senior Candy Townsend and Most Improved went to freshman Mary Beth Shriver. The Iunior High Queenfish finished their season with a 1- 3 record. Iulie Schrader won the Most Valuable Swim award. The girls worked well with their new coach, Miss Brower. Swimmers share congratulations and tears at the annual swim banquet. VARSITY SWIMMING-FIRST ROW: Coach Brower and Pat Ferguson Mgr. SECOND ROW: Candy Townsend, ludy Bowman julie Titus and Bev Swing.
