Last minute touches are made by jean Winters and Linda Lohrman as they prepare the FFA-FHA float for judging. Queen candidates and escorts are Valeria DeHaven, jamie Murray, judy Bowman, Carl Foust, Luci Bowyer, Kim Kirkendall, Cindy Brown, Mike Robison, Melissa Butts and Tony Logan. After being crowned, Queen Luci Bowyer has the honor of being escorted off the field by Principal Ralph Davis. The Spirit of Lewis Cass proved its power, as the mighty Kings defeated the Taylor Titans for the third Homecoming victory in a row. At the end of the 4th quarter the scoreboard read 26-6 in favor of the Kings. Crowning of the Homecoming Queen highlighted half-time ceremonies. Miss Luci Bowyer was elected to reign as queen while Misses Cindy Brown and judy Bowman were chosen princesses. Other candidates were Valeria DeHaven and Melissa Butts. A pre-game parade was viewed by fans of both teams. Five major floats were entered in the parade. The contest was won by the girl's Letter Club for the float which best displayed the theme, Spirit The seniors and freshmen popped the juniors and sophomores to win the annual powder puff game, 14-6. The winning team was led by Coaches Whitehouse and Savage. As a first for Cass, a Homecoming king was elected by the student body. Tears of joy overcame Tony Logan as he was crowned King of Cass. His court was Prince Tom Hickey and Prince Mike Ensfield. Homecoming 13
