This year's Student Council was very active and attempted to accomplish a great deal for students at Cass. Among the events they sponsored were an after-game dance and all of the regular activities at Homecoming. Each year three officers of Student Council are sent to the Student Leadership Camp at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. This year's officers were Craig Wisler, pres.g Keith Slusher, v. pres. and Helen Quinn, sec.-, treas. Mr. Bauer served as the council's sponsor. In an attempt to attain a more quiet atmosphere and accomplish more at meetings, the Student Council changed its meeting room this year to the library. Meetings were held once each month. Languages Get Together The foreign language clubs got together quite a bit during the 75-76 school year. They worked on a float for competition in the Homecoming parade, celebrated Christmas with the traditional International Christmas Dinner and held a foreign language festival during the spring. The German Club had a fashing party at the home of Ioyce Stover, an initiation of new members and the Oktoberfest on November 1 at Mike Ayers' house. The French Club Went to a French Festival at William Harrison High School in West Lafayette which consisted of French foods and folk dancing. A group of students who demonstrated the many types of French folk dancing were invited to the home of Mrs. Iackson on May 11. The Spanish Club celebrated El Dia de los Muertos in the fall, had a taco party at Gina Brockway's house with a pinata, tacos and other Mexican dishes during the fall and a picnic in the spring to plan for the festival. 156 Foreign Language it-. iff- gggafll-, . 3--5-ui'-'-r.t ','e, rl ' ., 1.4, Qg.z,-1.4bv.15.QQ's.e FRENCH CLUB-FIRST ROW: Mrs. Iackson, Kenny Armstrong and lim McCoy.
