Ki Classes Demand Participation 146 Home EC., Art, P.E. Home Economics, Art and P.E. all demanded active student participation. Those who enrolled in Art classes needed artistic talent and patience, those in Home EC. had to read patterns and rip out seams and P.E. students participated in strenuous sports such as track, softball, swimming and tumbling. The Home Ec. department had two very interesting courses covering special'study areas. The Creative Stitchery class hand-made a quilt for the Bicentennial and all who helped on it had their names embroidered on the edges. In Gourmet Foods, boys as well as girls enjoyed learning about foreign foods and the proper ways of preparing them. t,:.w . gm.- To prevent drying, Bryan Iaberg stores his clay in a plastic bag.
