A Touch of Foreign Culture The French, German and Spanish classes were very active during the past year. Student teacher Mr. Iames Cole, a former student at Purdue University, taught French at Lewis Cass under the direction of Mrs. Iackson. During the spring, the Foreign Language department held a Foreign Language Festival. It was open to both the school and the public. Each of the areas of the festival included French, German and Spanish students demonstrating folk dancing and foreign skits. A French sidewalk cafe also served popular foreign foods. Brazilian exchange students Ana Perasso and Leonardo Bertras also visited Cass the second semester. In study hall, Ana Perasso has a chance to brush up on her English.
