Since that time several hun- dred students have been chosen into membership. It is necessary to maintain at least a B-3 average during the semester previous to being chosen. Four characteristics determine the basis for membership: Leadership, Scholarship, Character, and Service. Scholarship determines the group of students eli- gible but the final choices are made on the basis of a balance of the other three charac- teristics. During the early years of our Society the Senior Society was composed of only Ele- venth and Twelfth graders, and the Iunior Society of grades Eight, Nine and Ten. Start- ing this year the Seventh grade was added to the Iunior Society, and next year the Tenth grade will be added to the Senior Society on a provisional basis The students in each class vote for the members they prefer. A faculty committee does the actual choosing, closely following the desires of the students. Each class is allowed up to ISCZ, of its membership. 00.
