X -.NX 1seff kXH'r f' Q Q X as A f CLASS PRUPHECY I had been planning a trip to Mars for some time and now the chance has come. I boarded the plane only to find Donna Kirkeeng as head stewardess on the rocket. She is demonstrating to Carol Dunnum, Eva Anderson, and Dorothy Amundson how to fasten safety belts. Carol showed me to my seat and I was very amazed to find Eugene Dickman and Albert Williger occupying the places on either side of me. After inquiring, I found that they too were going to Mars. Eugene said the class of l952 was holding its class reunion there. Albert told me that due to the situation on earth, most of them de- cided to move to Mars. Such a speedy trip made me wonder who was driving this iron bird. I went to the cockpit and much to my surprise met Roger Peterson. He was accompanied by his wife, the former Mary Lou Lee. They are also attending the reunion. Joe Lee is Peterson's Co-pilot for this trip. JOB iS making his weekly trip to Mars to see Myrna Kolowrat. Within fifteen minutes we reached our destination. We get off the plane in the capitol city of Mars. You could easily com- pare this city to the earths New York City. We called a buger, or as we call it on earth, a taxi. Strange as it seems, the driver was Laverne Parker, accompanied by a chauffeur who was none other then Laverne Mitchell. By this time we had met several of the class of '52. we checked in at the Goodaroom Hotel, and found out that Marion Bohland was the hotel clerk. He informed us that Dennis Kirkeeng was chief cook and bottle washer. The head chef was Eugene Kniefl. His specialty was snake meat pie. We went across the street to get a snack before the big cele- bration. The waitress who served us was none other than Dorothy Pieper. She told us that her friend Betty Lueck was married and living in another section of Mars, and she would not be able to attend because she couldn't get a baby sitter for her three month old boy. Lyle Kirkeeng was Dorothy's boss in the restaurant. He told us that Doris Anderson and Felix Weidemann wouldn't be able to attend the reunion. Felix was putting on his most famous juggling act in the Weidemann Circus tonight. Lee Berger was another main attraction. He was demonstrating his tight rope walking act. Lyle Mashak was head barker for the circus. Doris cou1dn't attend because she had a job dancing for the Si-Si Club on Mars, and tonight was her big night. We left the restaurant and headed for our hotel to get ready for the party. After dressing we left for the celebration. when we got there it was already in full swing. We were welcomed at the door by Mrs. Richard Erickson, the former Donna Friet. Her husband was furnishing the dance music. Don Benrud and Alma Garthwaite were the entertainers for the evening. They were doing their famous dance duet. we met Mr. and Mrs. Clare Thomson, the former Anna Olson. Duane Schumacher took time off from practicing law to come to the celebration. Schu is a rich millionaire and GIRLS, he is still single Hugh Bacon Jr. is also in the chips. He's head of the Standard Oil Company on Mars and business is good. He comes in with FOUR dazzling beauties on his arms. Women mean nothing to him. The boys of '52 have been prosperous. Don Squire is running the Universes' largest Transfer Company on Mars. Mary Brueggen is Don's head stenographer. We ordered drinks and were served by none other than Norris Johnson. All drinks were on him because he was the instigator of the reunion. Of course there are always the usual couples at a celebration like this. There are Siqurd Kirkeeng and his wife, Gwen, and Charles Hemmersbach and Darlene. Both these couples are running their own farms. Don Johnson is a professional basketball player on Mars. He is an All-Marsian. Mrs. Gordon Hansen the former Lorraine Gronemus, is debating whether the rock on her left hand is bigger, Cor smallerj than the one on her right hand. Gene Olson and Bob Von Ruden are news reporters for the Cashton Record, which has a branch office on Mars. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Schliechert, the former Elaine Hansen, are running one of the largest night clubs on the universe, gambling from sun rise to sun rise, everyday except Monday. Wash day you know. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thelen, the former Doris Erickson, are contemplating whether they should build their fourth nursery on the north or the south side of their home. The party broke up after a delicious dinner. Everyone left for their own peculiar destination. We boarded our jet and headed for earth.
