Even though we were a lit- tle shy we did take part in activities such as band,athlet1cs and forensics. As Sophomores,James Schwelger took over duties as president, We were now more accustomed to high school ways and were less afraid of the criticism of o r most worthy upper classmen. As 8 PSSUIV we were more active in school activities. As Juniors we were rapidly reaching our goal. For his second year James Schweiger filled his office as pres1dent.0n December 8th,l944 we presented our class play,nCross My Heart? This event proved to be a great financial success: greater than any other similar event in the history of our schoo1.The out standing activity of the year was the Jun1or-Sen- lor Prom on May 4,l9453a gala affa1r,w1th James Schweiger king and Teddy Klos queen. To crown our social calender for the year was the Jun1or-Sen- lor banouet on May 17. A chicken supper, prepared by the 'cooksu was served in the school basement. The years passed swiftly by and now we find our- selves Sen1ors.The size of our class has dwin- dled down until we now have forty-one members, some having discontinued their education, others have transferred to other schools, and a few have entered the service of our country. Now that the first step to success is completed we will strive to do our best so that this sc- hool will be proud of us,for what we have gain- ed will influence our future success.
