It was a great success and the merchants uptown contributed many door prizes. Carolyn Davis won the grand prize — an 8 Track Stereo player donated by Radio Shack. The party gave everyone a chance to sign yearbooks, as well as enjoy refreshments donated by The Red and White, IGA, and Williams Grocery. suys 05 oun Xsycs FLAME picks TV Theme. We are all aware of the discussion concerning the effect of television on all of us. Regardless of your personal belief, the influence of television cannot be denied. Years from now your '82 Flame will remind you of the shows popular in the 80's. Thus, with few commercials, we are proud to present, our Show of Shows, the '82 Flame. Within the next few pages is a poem of dedication to the Senior Class. The Flame staff wishes you a life That's Incredible, enough money to establish a Dynasty, a ranch next to Dallas, or if you prefer, A Little House on the Prairie. We thank you for being Real People. •HGJMEGBMING: IT WAS T0 BE The Homecoming theme, Hawaiian Paradise was selected by the Student Council. In the meantime, the Warriors were off to their best start in years. As we went into Homecoming our record was 4 wins and 0 defeats. How fitting. An Hawaiian Homecoming, a TV theme for Flame, and our fifth victory: Hawaii 5-0. However, as every Warrior fan knows, it wasn't meant to be. Nevertheless, the rest of our week was great! L io R: R. We shall all remember the fighting spirit of Chief Wyman and the Junior Class. However, it wasn't meant to be. The Seniors, for the third year in a row, won the float competition. The Sophomores gave them a run for their money. They placed first at the St. Elmod Band Days. This victory was especially sweet because it followed a fourth place finish at Tuscola. There, however, Brent Kaufman won the Outstanding Drum Major Award. The band also presents itself at Christmas, in the spring and at various contests. Perhaps the highlight of the year for the band however, was the sporting of their new uniforms. L to R. Rl: B. Biggs. T. Corbett. J. Honnold. C. Smith. B. West. R. Oakley. M. Wagner. T. Ritter.J. Many parents attended and the fun shared by all was obvious. Attending their last banquet were eight seniors to the left. 83 SPRING PLAY: THE cJURY RQQM The cold winter over, the Drama Club set out to perform perhaps one of their best plays in recent years. Most of the crowd waited on the edge of their seats to find out, who killed Adrian Fletcher. The Arts Hall crowds were great both nights — especially when the word spread on Friday that the club had acted well their parts. DRAMA CLUB WINS AWARDS Accepting Awards . . . Two crucial plays, one each in the M'ville and Marshall games, cost the Warriors the conference championship and a berth in the state playoffs. Nevertheless, as the stat sheet proves, the Warriors were strong. Led by Richards, Blome and Whaley the defensive line held their opponents to just over 158 yards a game. Cox and Ring led the offense with a combined total of 18 TD's. EASEY HIGH F00TBALL TW0 PLAYS MADE THE DIFFERENGE Some of us got carried away after the victory over Oakwood. Rl: R. Burris, E. It is unusual for us to have such a large group of Seniors. It wasn't long ago that as Sophs you were undefeated. Our hopes were high for your Senior year.
