Once again, football brightened our fall days. Our biggest success was the 7-6 victory over Martinsville. Our sorrow was hard fought loss to Marshall. We went down to defeat in dignity and we were as good as we could be. Few teams can say the same. 62 L to R. 1st row: Coaching Staff: R. Powell, T. Carrell. 2nd row: D. Throneburg, G. Vidoni, J. This we were able to accomplish Our Sectional win over T-Town and the joy and pleasure which followed is the victory part of athletics. Our appearance in the State Tourney and our Super-Sectional loss to Jamacia are also part of athletics. I’m proud to say our girls performed as “lady athletes” in both victory and defeat. I am very proud to have had the opportunity to coach these girls and it will take quite a season to surpass the pleasure of this one. Coach Throneburg VARSITY VOLLEYBALL 1st row: L to R: J. Scott, R. IN MEMORIAM PHYLLIS REYNOLDS In January, Mrs. Reynolds left Casey for a new job. In May, the student body and staff were shocked and saddened to learn of her death. The past several years she had been the librarian and a friend to many of the students. “We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind.” Wordsworth 124 See Us For Basements Flatwork Excavation Work Hog Confinements Free Estimates For All Concrete Work Just Give Us A Call Quality Craftsmanship At SWIM CONSTRUCTION CO.
