Homecoming was held on Friday, October the 13th and the theme superstitions was used. The big morning pep ralley, with inter-school games, was held on the football field and enjoyed by all. The afternoon parade was started at 2:00 and bands from Westfield, Martinsville and Casey added to the excitement. The first place float belong to the Junior Class and second place to the Sophomores. The Casey Warriors faced the Cumberland Pirates at 7:00 that night and added a 41 to 6 victory to the Homecoming festivities. The traditional dance was held after the game. In an impressive ceremony, Cheryl Tatge, escorted by Eric Kusterman, was crowned the 1978 Homecoming Queen by Greg Ashley.
