FOOTBALL WfGWUGRTS The football season was highlighted by the naming of John Rue, Mike Wilson, and Keith Herron to the E. I. Small Division Football Team. Also, in the Chicago Daily News, Mike Wilson received special mention and John Rue received honorable mention on the Little All-State Football Team. The turnout for football this year was very good. There were fourteen freshmen, twelve sophomores, twelve juniors, and three seniors out for the ’66 season. This year the varsity compiled a 2-7 record, while the sophomores had a record of 2-3 and the freshmen had a 2-2 record for the season. Our varsity team led the small division in total offense, and looking at this year s team, we predict an up and coming season next year. 17
