Library Club The officers of the Library Club were: Judy Black, president; Sue Black, vice president; Joyce Legg, secretary-treasurer; Barbara Hanners, reporter; and Miss Mankin, sponsor. The club was organized to promote better use of the school library and its facilities. One of the club's outside projects this year was a Christmas party to which the members brought gifts to be given to the children of a needy family of this community.

Thespians Debate Club To become a member of Thespians a student must have earned ten points through participation in class plays. The purpose of the Thespian Troope is the advancement of standards of excellence in dramatic arts, the encouragement of students to attain a mastery of the language, the development of poise and self-confidence, and the appreciation of dramatic literature and techniques. Members of the troope were involved in class plays and contest plays. They announced at ballgames and had parties. The officers were; Sharon Tedrick, Danny Haddock, Sandra Staley, Larry Hudson, Miss Millet, sponsor. The Debate Club was organized this year to encourage the mastery of language, to develop poise and self-confidence, to encourage public speaking, and to promote intra-school competition. The club holds debates, enters debate contests, and sponsors dances. The officers were: Trudy Groothius, president; Sue Smith, vice president; Don Coch-onour, secretary; Tim Yow, treasurer. The sponsor was Miss Miller. ROW 1: Bob Thomas, Sue Pierce; Miss Miller, Sponsor, Trudy Groothis, Sue Smith. ROW 2: Don Cochonour, Tim Yow, Bill McReaken, Ed Orrell, Jim Hires, Eddie Paul, Steve Daughhtee.

ROW 2: Mr. Rossi, Ronnie Howe, John Huffman, John Cox, Jim Knierim, Jerry Johnson, Bob McKinzie, Mr. Wildman. ROW 3: Wayne Ramsey, Jean Ramsay, Ronnie Rue, Dan Ault, Pat Tuttle, Ted Hutton, Low ell Hickox, Keith Edwards. Varsity Club The officers of the Varsity Club this year were: Jean Ramsay, president; Jerry Burson, vice president; Ronnie Rue, secretary-treasurer; Danny Ault, student council representative. The club was organized three years ago for boys who had earned a major letter in one sport and who had a C average in studies. Its purposes are to encourage school spirit and ideals, and to promote sportsmanship, fellowship, and association of its members, loyalty to the individual and the organization, and to promote and to maintain scholarship and honor. Varsity Club sponsored the Football Banquet and the spring Steak Dinner for its members. These were made possible by the publication and sales of football programs and E.I. League Tournament programs. The sponsors were Mr. Rossi and Mr. Wildman.
